With over 25 years in school administration, I can attest that leadership is the catalyst for systemic improvement or change. Through my career, I have been a school administrator in rural, suburban, and urban settings, focusing on learning and safety. I was the founding principal of a College Board School in Buffalo, New York, along with developing positive school environments within 5 different school districts. In our post-pandemic world of education, there have been many impediments that have hindered the learning environments across our country. Absenteeism, bullying, fighting, and overall mental health concerns with our students have created challenging days for teachers to focus on teaching and learning. Through professional development and team-building exercises, the culture and fabric of every school can change, where students and teachers are working together towards positve student outcomes.
